2011-12 Individual Stats

2012: The 2012 Conference Carolinas Player of the Year, Tirkkonen played in 17 matches scoring a team high nine goals with two assists for 20 points. He was also named First Team All-Conference. He was second in the league in goals, third in points and second in game-winning goals (5). He scored multiple goals against Barton (10/4) and North Greenville (10/17). He was named First Team All-Southeast Region by Daktronics and by the NSCAA.

2011: A 2011 Conference Carolinas All-Tournament team selection, Tirkkonen was third on the team in points with 11. He scored four goals and had three assists. He had a season high three points with a goal and an assist against Francis Marion and scored a goal against Mount Olive, St. Andrews and Limestone. He played in 17 games, starting six during the 2011 season.

Other College: A transfer from Hartwick College, Niko played in seven games for the Hawks in 2010, starting in three of them. He recorded two shots on goal.

Prior to College: Tirkkonen has represented Finland’s U18 national team in Slovakia and Portugal and was a national youth runner-up with FC Reipas. He also competed with City Stars, HYPS, and FC Lahti Academy. He attended Salpausselan Lukio.
